Student Program Assistant | Peace, Justice & Conflict Studies Program
The Student Program Assistant will report to the Staff Program Assistant or the term faculty members, as well as the Director of the Peace, Justice & Conflict Studies Program. This position requires the graduate student worker to serve PJC through general office duties, including but not limited to: event planning, calendar maintenance, program material creation and maintenance, data entry, assisting faculty, scheduling office space, collaborating with internal and external parties, and representing the program at on-campus events and fairs, as well as working with the Director, Faculty, and Staff as a team member in launching events and developing outreach.
Customer Service Agent | Office of Admission
A phone and email service agent for Undergraduate Admission Teleservices Center. The agent will assist callers over the phone, reply to emails in resource accounts when needed, act as representative for University and Undergraduate Admission Office, and perform Data Entry. Agent will work in a fast-paced administrative environment and will be required to absorb and review a large amount of frequently changing departmental information. Agent will perform other duties as assigned.
Graduate Admission Intern | Office of Admission
The Admissions Graduate Intern will report to the Internship Supervisor and will contribute to the overall enrollment efforts of the College of Education and the College of Communication by assisting with the planning, implementation, monitoring of recruitment strategies to attract and enroll graduate students at the university. The internship could have a non-credit, professional development focus or could be offered for academic credit and be a component in a degree program. The site has been approved as a clinical site for meeting the practicum/internship requirements or: Counseling with College Student Development and Educational Leadership with Higher Education.
Job Fairs & Events Programming Assistant | The Career Center
This position is also responsible for providing in-depth customer service, technical, and administrative support to employers and students who use the Career Center’s online job posting system, Handshake. The assistant will participate as a member of the Employer Engagement team and is responsible for leading the oversight of job fair logistics, job fairs reports, fairs supplies inventory, and payment collection.
Office Assistant | Student Affairs
The student assistant will be primarily responsible for the administrative duties of the Dean of Students Office and Office of Student Affairs in Lincoln Park Campus. They will answer phones and greet visitors, always responding to student, parent and guest inquiries with the utmost professionalism. They will work closely with the division’s administrative assistant for the Dean of Students to assist students with the services offered by the Dean of Students office and manage the daily needs of the office suite.
Teaching Assistant | Chemistry Department
You will provide instructional assistance in the laboratory course(s) to which assigned under the in-class supervision of a faculty laboratory instructor and the direct supervision of the laboratory manager. This is an entry level position that is available to students whom have successfully completed the course they will be offering instructional assistance. The goal of this position is to aide students in developing laboratory techniques, formatting effective lab reports, and connecting lecture topics to hands-on laboratory experiences.
Archivist | Office of Advancement
This position is with the Office of Advancement, responsible for alumni engagement, special events, fundraising and gift processing. The student will manage digital storage and presentation of documents, conduct entity research and perform data updates as needed, working with internal and subscription applications. This position requires coordination with advancement staff to prioritize work and learn some basic technical and data organization skills. It will also provide experience with the workings of a fundraising operation.
Communications Intern | Community and Government Relations
The front office administrative work would support the day to day operations of the office to include reception duties and clerical tasks. The communications duties would expose the incumbent to a variety of applications and specialties including Sharepoint web copy-writing, advertising, marketing, social media, database management using ACT and Constant Contact, and communications planning and tracking.
Intercambio Coordinator | Steans Center for Community-Based Service Learning
The Intercambio Language Spanish-English Immersion program brings together DePaul students taking intermediate Spanish and Spanish-speaking adult education students studying English in various organizations throughout Chicago. The Intercambio Instructional Facilitator will be involved in program planning, implementation, communications and coordination among all constituent groups.This includes the Spanish Department faculty and students, community students and the staff of the community partner organizations. The Intercambio facilitator ensures that all constituent groups’ needs are met and the goals of the program are fulfilled.
EDGE Peer Mentor | Office of Student Involvement
The Office of Student Involvement EDGE Peer Mentor will serve as a mentor to EDGE students and as an assistant to the Office of Student Involvement EDGE Team Leader. EDGE Peer Mentors will create interpersonal connections with EDGE students, while also upholding EDGE expectations and leading by example. EDGE Peer Mentors will serve as a resource to students when navigating the university and campus services available. This role will assist the EDGE Team Leader with planning and tracking weekly activities, attending weekly team meetings, and assisting with the design and implementation of projects and assignments.
